Our Team

Karen Borger                              

Australian born filmmaker Karen Borger is now a permanent US resident. A graduate of the prestigious Australian Film TV and Radio School, Karen forged a successful career and solid reputation as an award-winning writer & director of documentaries, films, and high-end TV commercials in Australasia. In the US Karen worked as Director, Original Content, Online Creative Service with Disney Interactive Media Group until early 2009. She has recently directed & produced projects in the Caribbean & Las Vegas for Voyage TV. 

Character and story are Karen's primary focus and her forte lies in the realm of inspiring insightful naturalism in her subjects. A strong visual style developed during her time as a stills photographer, coupled with a classic filmic eye results in a timeless appeal in all Karen’s work. An accomplished grasp of CGI/VFX technology, all levels of film craft and the possibilities of Interactive Media ensures that each scenario is realized to its full potential, resulting in a portfolio of standout work.

President of the AFTRS alumni association (The Network) from 2002-5, Karen also served as Regional Film Commissioner of Film Mid North Coast, NSW Australia in 2004 and is current President of the Share Your Voice Foundation

Karen is a founding partner of Encounter Entertainment LLP.

 Jennifer "JJ" Julian                         

A Montana native residing in California,  Jennifer Julian has crafted a flourishing career in performance working professionally in the fields of theatre, film, television and radio.

On stage, she has toured nationally performing the unprecedented lead in Eric Idle's Exploits Monty Python and Greedy Bastard Tours at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. 

Jennifer has been a top-rated Southern California radio personality and is a successful voice-over artist for films and commercials.

In the field of performance education, Jennifer has been an educator for the East LA Classic Theatre, teaching the Shakespeare for our Children and Beyond Borders Programs to at-risk youth in South Central and East Los Angeles. She was a resident teaching artist for Will & Company and dance/music specialist for the City of Los Angeles Park and Recreation Department's Camp Hollywoodland.

On the stage in Whitefish, Montana Jennifer performed the role of Peggy for Alpine Theatre Project's  acclaimed production of Godspell and Yuletide Affair 4 in 2007.

Jennifer returned to tertiary education in 2008, and is currently studying at Claremont College in California.

She is the current Vice President of the Share Your Voice Foundation and also the new spokesperson/host for the American Medical Association's Voice for the Uninsured Campaign.

Jennifer is  a founding partner of Encounter Entertainment LLP.
